8 month old small red blotch ? Rash on cheek.

My LO has had this mark on her cheek for weeks now! We initially thought impetigo so got some cream, stayed the same, hydrocortisone for her eczema hasn’t helped, breast milk hasn’t helped neither has just normal lotions etc or just leaving it.
we also thought might be slapped cheek but it hasn’t gone away. Also hasn’t worsened!

has anyone seen this before or something similar? Doesn’t appear to itch! Gets flaky sometimes.

Mine has the same! It comes and goes and seems to get worse in the heat. Watching with interest

Oh that’s so interesting!! I’m completely stumped! Hers is worse if she’s warm or when she wakes up if she’s been lying on that cheek!

Hi OP @Pickingausernameistricky sorry to reply to an old thread but did you ever get to the bottom of this? My DD (7 months) has very similar, doesn’t seem to bother her but gets very red and is dry. I moisturise it and it seems to settle for a few hours or days then comes back! She is teething so I’ve put it down to that and change of weather (cold then into heated house and vice versa) - oh the worrying we do 😅

it seemed to disappear when her leg eczema did, following elimination of dairy from her diet! So I wonder if it was eczema ? Such a worry all the the time isn’t it with our little people!
