My Ds is 13 with ASD and LD. I noticed a decline in his health two years ago.

I have a job getting HCP's interested in him but we moved and now have a Disability Nurse who is brilliant.

List of worries:

Short term memory problems (bow very obvious)
Huge weight loss
Tired and lethargic
Occasionally his knees bend and he ends up in a crawl position on the floor
Loss of some skills (hard to identify due to his disability)

We saw a consultant this week who noticed he dribbles. He has had sores around his mouth for the last year and I'm pretty sure he didn't dribble before.

She referred him to SALT for a swallow test.

I am now very worried for him. DH just says it's good he's getting check but it's probably nothing degenerative.

We had genetic testing nearly 6 months ago so hopefully that will come back soon.

My three dc have a rabble of ND and health issues but I am really bloody worried this time. He is so droopy and skinny. Even his walk has changed, he sort of flops his right leg out slightly further than before.
