Red bump on leg where baby had vaccine

My baby had her 4 month vaccines 2 days ago. She has a big raised red bump at the injection site that feels very slightly warm. She got a similar bump when she had her 2 month injections but this seems bigger. I know the doctor told us a bed bump would be normal to get but is this just too big? Should I be concerned? It’s not just a red patch, it’s like a lump

It's pretty normal, keep an eye on it but I wouldn't be overly worried.

My ds got some right shiners from his vaccines. I get some pretty hefty hot itchy bumps too, especially flu vaccine but they usually go within a week. Just means there's a decent immune response which is what you want really

I would call 111 or the GP given the redness and size OP

Yep, totally normal. The body has recognised the vaccine as a foreign substance and is reacting exactly as it should. Absolutely fine to give calpol/neurofen as needed
