Tummy pain and vomiting, with 2 day break in between

Ds is 12. Wednesday evening he had a bad tummy ache, threw up twice and then was fine afterwards. Then the same thing happened again last night. Pretty sure it's not a bug as we are a family of 7 and none of the rest of us are ill. Not eaten anything different. He does suck his fingers a lot though. He had severe reflux as a baby and does tend to vomit when he has a cold etc but he hasn't got a cold now and the tummy pain is a new thing.

Anyone else had this before?

How strange, is he going the toilet a lot with his bad tummy or does it just hurt? Does he have a high temperature?

We've had a bug like that in our family. It took 4 days for each additional child to go down with it. Eldest dodged it. I think it may be a bug for your DS too - I hope so!

Thank you. No going to the toilet a lot, just pain and vomiting. No high temperature either.

Hmm, it still could be that he has a bug but it’s delayed in spreading to others. Does he feel weak or dizzy?

No weakness or dizziness. It's literally about 2 hours of pain, vomiting twice and then absolutely fine. Both times, no other symptoms at all.

My guess is it’s either a stomach bug or extreme acid reflux, you did mention the reflux which makes me think it could be. Has he ate anything he wouldn’t usually recently?
