Baby has red skin below her eye (photo included)

Hi, does anybody know why my baby’s eye would be red underneath? I took her to the doctors today and she said it’s dry skin and she isn’t concerned but my baby’s skin isn’t dry at all, it’s very soft. Has anybody experienced this? My baby is 8 months old. It’s also a little bit red on the eyelid

Forgot to add she hasn’t had any injuries and the other eye is also slightly red underneath but not as bad. She is getting sufficient sleep. Could it be from an allergy? This has only came up in the last week
