Accidents in 8yr old after stopping laxido!

Dd8 suffers now and again constipation. GP prescribed Laxido previously for these occasions.

This week she was quite constipated.
She had one laxido satchet Thursday evening and after a few soft and watery no.2s she soiling herself about 6/7 times in just over 24 hours whilst running back & fore to the toilet. I know it's clearing her out & I knew to expect of accidents but as she only needed the one , how long does it take before the side affects wear off? and how long to make no.2s more solid ?
Thankyou

Not sure about the laxido but have you tried going dairy free? It's often the cause of constipation.

My DD12 was constipated she had a lot more Movicol (think it’s another brand of Laxcido) she was having a poo maybe 10-15 times. She was very backed up though there was days and days of poo in her system. You’re not alone with the accidents she also had them. I would guess 24 hours and she should maybe be empty of poo
