Should I be worried about dd’s ultrasound?

DD9 has had a lot of problems with her stomach and vomiting over the last year or so. Paed referred us for an ultrasound of her stomach. Went today after lunch and the dr scanned her for ages but then said it would need repeating on an empty stomach ( I should have checked) Our appointment letter hadn’t specified to fast. Feel quite anxious now about him wanting to repeat it. I did ask if there was anything of concern and he just said he couldn’t see anything and it was worth doing properly on an empty stomach. Is it normal to fast for a scan on the tummy?

Hi op, I don’t know about for kids but I had an abdominal ultrasound earlier this year and I had to fast for 6 hours before, I would say it’s normal x

Thank you for replying. Trying to calm myself down a bit. I looked on the GOSH website and they ask for fasting as well.
