Coldsore or spot? New born baby

My little boy is a week old and has come up with a red spot under his lip? Is this a coldsore ? ive not let anyone kiss him and no one has but I'm definitely worried xx

Hopefully just a spot. Highly unlikely to be a cold sore. Could be beginnings of a haemangioma ( strawberry mark). They tend to start like that at this age. It’ll get redder if it is. You can get information and advice here
