Diarrhoea | Poo smells like rancid chicken

My son and I both have diarrhoea. Our poo has exactly the same smell - rancid chicken. We've not eaten any chicken in the presumed timeframe and I don't think it's food poisoning.

Any ideas what it might be?

Probably viral gastroenteritis of some kind if you both have it, circulate very readily among small children.
