Feel like a terrible Parent. About 2 days ago, our 13 month old decided to bump the back of His head on the Zoo Room’s wooden door frame after saying our ritual “Goodnight” to our Animals… He cried straight away, was easily consoled and has not had any sinister symptoms (like Vomiting, loss of balance etc.) however this weird looking vein appeared, could anybody tell me what it is ? Never noticed if it’s always been there or if it’s appeared just because He bonked it. TIA!

I believe it's a little broken blood vessel from the bump and absolutely nothing to worry about. The scalp is loaded with blood vessels so this isn't unusual at all. Both of my children had this exact thing from bumping their heads.

Thank you hun, been so worried about it despite him not showing any suspicious symptoms. Guess that first time mum Anxiety got the better of me, if I could wrap him up in bubblewrap, cottonwood and crash helmet 24/7 I would. But I know they need thrills and spills to learn 🤦🏽‍♀️ feel a right numpty lol x
