Child sick once at night and fine in the day

My LO has been sick once in the night for the past three nights, it’s not just a little bit either. After cleaning him up and putting his bedding in the wash he is absolutely fine. The next day it’s like nothing has happened, he eats normally, drinks normally and is his usual mischievous self. I’ve asked if his tummy hurts and he says no after being sick and the next day. I’m really confused at what could be causing this any help is appreciated Thankyou 😊

Has he had a cold/chesty at all recently? Mine will always be sick in the night if she is really phlegmy, Im guessing something to do with lying flat!

Yeah I get that but he’s not had cold, runny nose or chesty at all. That was my first thought but he hasn’t showed any signs of anything like that.

Has he eaten something that has disagreed with him - is there something he has eaten on all three of the days, like ham from the same packet for example?

Ah.. my grandson and I have had a strange bug this last week when we were randomly sick at night then fine in the day. My adult friend has had it too. We've had odd spikes of temperature but not really felt ill.

He is a very plain and picky eater, the only thing I can think he’s had all three days is breadsticks which I didn’t think would cause it. It’s so confusing 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oh really maybe it is just a bug then. I assumed he would have been off his food etc but he hasn’t been. It’s like once he’s been sick there’s nothing wrong.

My daughter had this exact same thing.

She puked randomly one night and the next day she had a temperature which came down with calpol. She only needed one dose and later on that day she was fine!

Both my kids had this weird bug a couple of weeks ago! Just sick once over night and that’s it. My sons lasted 5 nights. Very strange
