5 year old constant tummy pain, prescribed Movicol

Child is 5 and has been complaining of tummy pain for 2 weeks. The first time it happened she was crying with pain at school and had to come home. She was very bloated and did a poo shortly after. She says she is still in pain though not as bad, still doing her usual activities but does say her belly hurts often and says it's always hurting.

Been seen by the Dr this week who checked for urine infection etc but concluded that she's just constipated and prescribed her Movicol. She has been pooing every other day which is normal for her so wondering what other people's experiences of Movicol are. Will it make her really loose? Or any other instances of kids with constant tummy pain? Her diet hasn't changed but the week before her tummy pain started she did have a tummy bug - sick a few times. Any advice appreciated!

My daughter's long-running tummy pain (months on end - investigated by GP with no findings) has mysteriously resolved since changing schools from one with a questionable approach to nurturing children to a normal school where everything is sensible, calm and positive most of the time.
