13yo painful heavy periods

My 13yo has heavy and painful periods every 4 weeks. She is due on her period while we are on holiday. Got an appointment with the Dr next week, she maybe at school when the Dr calls. What is the Dr likely to ask? I never had very painful periods and only the occasional heavy one so unsure what they are going to ask

I feel for her because they are horrible. I was asked if they affected day to day life, if I was having to have time off school/work and what other symptoms I had like; pain, blood clots, etc. I hope the doctor is good and I wish her luck. Have a lovely holiday.

My daughter was prescribed something for pain and something for heavyness. Both help to some extent. Hope your DD gets some help, its miserable for them x

I went on the pill at 13 due to heavy periods. It changed my life.

See if she can have medication to delay her period so she could enjoy her holiday more.
Also keep an eye on her iron. I'm recently diagnosed as anaemic so it's on my radar now
