6 year old says both of her ears hurt.

My 6 year old came home from school today complaining that her ears are blocked up and they hurt. She's just had a mild cold so I'm thinking it could be related. Does this sound like an ear infection? I'm going to see how she is tomorrow but I'm not sure whether to contact the doctors or not. She's never had an ear infection before.

Most ear infections are just viral so not much use seeing Gp yet. I imagine it’s sinus pain and should clear up, especially if it’s in both ears. try
some nurofen to reduce inflammation 😊

@wobblymum1 yeah she's had it before where her ears have hurt briefly but she seems to be more uncomfortable with it this time. I'll give her some nurofen when I go to bed and no doubt she'll end up sleeping in my bed tonight 🤣
