my grandson is 2 and has common cold symptoms. He has developed a rash all over his legs, bottom, arms and starting to appear on his face. The rash goes away when pressed with glass.

Viral rash probably - very common when they have a virus. How does it feel? Is it rough? If so I think that could be Scarlett fever. However, best thing to do is call 111 - this is exactly what they're for 🙂 Hope he's feeling better soon!

Or check out Healthier Together which is the NHS website for child health/common childhood illnesses. This is the page on rashes: www.what0-18.nhs.uk/parentscarers/worried-your-child-unwell/rashes

I would be ringing the emergency number and asking them for advice

one of the children at daycare (back in the day) had a rash . Ended up being a form of meningococcal.

A child ill enough to have a meningococcal rash would typically be pretty poorly. The traffic light guidance is helpful 🙂
