Change in newborns poo! (WARNING PIC INCLUDED) 🙈

Hello everyone

I'm a first time mum so if this is normal then apologies!

My 5 week old baby is formula fed. She has had normal poos twice a day which are a mustard colour and grainy. All of a sudden yesterday her poos turned a very dark green colour. It has continued today. Its not diarrhoea as her bowel movements are normal (twice a day!).

Any idea what's going on? Thank you

I think it's common for formula fed babies to have green poop because of the iron content in the formula. Also my granny used to tell me green poop means the baby is gonna have a cold soon. It turned out true in case of my DDs.

Bumping this because that is what my daughters looks like. Did you ever find out what if was?

I'm pretty sure green poop could indicate an allergy? Maybe worth speaking to your HV? Does DC seem in any discomfort? My 13 week old had the mustard poop for what felt like ages.
