Hi, My baby is on Neocate for suspected milk allergy. It has solved the explosive nappies and the terrible wind but she is still suffering with terrible reflux.
ive been back and forth to the g.p who will only prescribe gaviscon, which is not even touching the sides. She is gaining weight fine but she screams and screams most of her waking hours. She won’t sleep led down so nighttime is just awful. She won’t lay to have nappy changed or lay in the bath or the bouncy chair. I have a 6 year old I feel I ignore because of the screaming baby all the time. She is clearly in a lot of pain. She drinks then screams for an hour or so.
I wear her for all her day naps in a sling but she still gags and swallows even sleeping vertical and wakes constantly. Her cot is so slanted she slips down the bottom, not that she will sleep in it for long. I keep her up for well over 30 mins after each feed. Nothing is working.
I love her very much but I’m really struggling, especially not sleeping and the guilt of spending so little time with my 6 year old. She keep saying now that she doesn’t want her sister anymore. Which is so sad as she has been so excited. It’s just every time she wakes she screams. We hardly get out the house as she screams the moment I put her down and it’s so stressful I give up. I signed up to baby sensory and we only made it to 1 session as the stress of getting ready was too much. We got there and she just cried anyway. I can’t leave her to cry as she brings up liquid and chokes.
I don’t know what I’m asking really. I’m waiting on a paediatric appointment but it’s not until 15th March, I don’t think I can make it till then.
