Toddler vomits after calpol/neurofen

So my baby has hated calpol since she a baby, at first I chucked a packet out as I thought they must have gone bad since my first always loved the taste so much I couldn’t imagine she would hate it that much. Now she’s just over 1 and she’s been getting lots of bugs and I used to think she was vomiting because the fever was so high, but even when I have given it for teething pains with no fever she has been sick. And this happens with both calpol and neurofen. I did ask the doctor but she said to give neurofen instead but that there’s no reason not to give calpol too. I have since noticed it happens with both. It’s not usually immediate, it takes from a few minutes to 15minutes. Has anyone else experienced this?

Both my children vomit after Calpol. I use Nurofen but it has to be the orange flavour as the strawberry flavour makes them vomit too.

My DS1 used to vomit after the sugar free versions but was fine with the sugary version.
