Ear canal infection - Otomize - how long to work?

DS 9 been poorly with this since Fri - confirmed as infection by GP yesterday, prescribed Otomize ear spray. Just had another terrible night with him - he's at limit of paracetamol/ nurofen dose - doesn't know what to do with himself. GP said come back in 7 days if Otomize doesn't improve it - I guess he'd then be given oral antibiotics. How long would you expect the ear spray to take to help him feel better? Poor thing is so uncomfortable.

I used Otomize recently and by day 3 the pain had significantly reduced! Your poor DS, otitis externa can be agony. Fully recovered by day 6ish.
