Nearly three year old water infection?

Hi everyone last week my little girl sat on the toilet and screamed she needed a wee after just going for a wee. She was hysterical and wouldn’t let us move her from the toilet. Her auntie came round to play and she immediately got up of the toilet after me trying to get her off for over half an hour..

tonight she has done exactly the same. Screaming when we try and take her off the potty saying she needs a wee. She is nearly three. Completely dry in the day just soils in her nappy.

she’s getting so upset saying she needs a wee and won’t let us move her from the potty.

could this be a water infection?

Our DD is the same age and has had a water infection. Easiest thing to do is pick up a urine sample pot from the doctors and take in a sample. With this age it can be a UTI and also behavioural

It’s difficult to know. Does she have any of the following..

Dark coloured urine
Offensive smelling urine
Is she passing less urine than usual?
Is she complaining of abdominal pain?
Does she have a temperature?

@Scared201 i thought she may have had one last week but then didn’t act like it again until today.

@Raspberry290 her wee has been darker, but she hasn’t drank as much or eaten as much so just thought it may be that. Today she has been for a few wees and never mentioned it or acted like this again u til tonight .

All you can do for now is encourage fluids and I would suggest giving her calpol before bed. PP had some good advice which is to drop off a urine sample at the surgery. That’s the only definitive way of knowing

@Raspberry290 @Scared201 I took her to the walk in center and they tested her urine. She has a water infection
