Rang 111 at 6.00pm tonight was told will get phone call within 2 hours , is now 00.12 no phone call he has kidney problems , left dilated pelvis would I be unreasonable to turn up at hospital tomorrow morning first thing with him , urine sample and bloods sent off on 21/12 as showed blood and protein in his sample but no results yet , He is passing bright red blood ever time he goes toilet and just getting over strep A infection just finished a course of amoxiclave for 5 days seem to clear it up but has now started all over again is asleep in bed so don’t want to go tonight ,do I go local hospital or google nearest urologist hospital ...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What kidney problems does he have?

If kidney disease, then the Strep will cause more protein and blood in urine

And sometimes, Hospital help is needed

Potato28 · 27/12/2022 00:25

I would go tonight

SleepingStandingUp · 27/12/2022 00:25

I'd go to your local A&E, I think if you turn up at a urologist hospital without an apt you won't be seen.

I'd also try calling back 111, explain that you were expecting a call back etc but honestly what they're likely to tell you is to be seen at hospital within the next X hours.
If they wake in the night, will you know?

Is the amount of blood in the urine increasing? Is it significant?
Hoeo you can get it sorted quickly op

That sounds like a reasonably high amount of blood to urine ratio op, honestly I'd take him in now if it won't distress him too much being woken up.
