My 17 month old wont sleep properly since his immunisations

My 17 month old had his immunisations recently (the ones he was supposed to have at 12 months) and i have noticed he has been waking more frequently later on in the night and tossing and turning.. it has been almost 2 weeks since the shots and i was initially hoping he would go back to his old sleeping pattern atleast a week after the shots but he hasnt..
Has anyone else had a similar experience with their kids?
He just wakes up crying and fussing and tosses and turns.. i try giving him some milk to calm him down and even try cuddling him, but he still fusses and keeps tossing and turning.
My husband said it might be something to do with the 18 month regression but i am not sure.. since his shots he has dropped his midday meal too and only wants 2 meals a day.
Even today, he woke up earlier than he normally does because he was fussing again so i decided to wake up early with him and bring him downstairs and he ended up getting on the sofa and falling asleep and then slept straight through for 3 hours until i had to force him to wake up.
Please someone tell me they have had the same experience and that all this will go back to normal! 😮‍💨

Could be teething. It causes them pain as the teeth have to cut through the bone. Calpol helps. When dd had her MMR we were given a list of symptoms and when they might appear. I do remember her having the symptoms

@MandarinCat thank you for your answer :) i thought it may be his teeth but i cant seem to find any lumps of bumps on his gums to see which ones it could be.. he has most of his teeth so it didnt cross ny mind that it could be a teething issue.. i guess i will start using some teething powder tonight and see if it makes a difference..
We were given a list too, but it said most of the symptoms will disappear by 10 days. After that maybe a fever but that's it.
He doesnt have a fever either though.
He sleeps next to me and ever since this whole sleep disruptiom started, i find him kicking me or poking his toes into my back or stomach when he wakes up fussing in the middle of the night as well..

You could try calpol, then if it helps you'll know it's pain of some sort. A pharmacist told me pain killers such as calpol are the only thing that really help with teething pain. My kids are teenagers now so I'm hazy about what age teething takes place.

Ah okay, thanks for that 😊

I know it might seem like a strange coincidence, but they honestly go through so many phases, the 18 month regression has likely coincided with the jabs (our regression started at 16 months and ended around 17 and a half months and he suddenly started sleeping through after 6 weeks of dreadful sleep). It's really tough when you're in it, but it will pass!

DD7 was ill for about a month after her 12 month immunisations, but did eventually settle. If the immune system is reacting as it should to the vaccinations, it will be mounting an immune response, and this affects multiple systems of the body. He should settle down again soon, but of course so keep an eye in case there’s anything else going on.

If I remember correctly it was on and off🙈 so there was some reprieve in between. However, we never seemed to have another one since so I'm guessing we got it all at once 😅I will keep my fingers crossed it doesn't last long for you!
