Do we all have to isolate with scarlet fever?

My 8 year old DD has just been diagnosed with scarlet fever. We were meant to be going out to a Christmas activity tomorrow, should we all cancel or do you think it's okay for one parent to take our younger child (who seems fine)?

I don’t think you do. Even your child with SF can go out a certain amount of time after starting anti biotics (just can’t remember how long!)

You don’t all have to isolate, but given how contagious it is and how close to christmas it is, I think it would be the right thing to do.

I know how crap it is when you have plans and your child becomes unwell. O wouldnt for thw sake of other children as you don't know how unwell they may become if they catch it and with it being so close to xmas i would just stay home and have a movie fest
