DS (2) was sent home from nursery today because of these spots on his legs. They were quite dry (he usually gets dry legs after a bath if I don’t moisturise him after which I did forget to do). Nursery think chicken pox but after Googling I’m not too sure. He doesn’t have any spots / rash anywhere else other than one tiny spot on his tummy and a couple of tiny spots on his face. Is it worth a GP call tomorrow?

That’s what scarlet fever looked like on my kid’s legs, then spread across their back and was the classic “sandpaper” feel. Yes I’d get a doctors appointment tomorrow.

Looks like chicken pox to me too

Does he have a temp?

Sleeepdeprived · 15/12/2022 19:12

I haven’t taken his temp and I’ve just put him to bed so don’t want to wake him to take it now. He didn’t feel particularly hot when I put him down and he seems fine in himself.
