Hi my daughter is now 20w old and has been suffering with cmpa and reflux since she was 6 weeks we are on nutramigen and she has one sachet of gaviscon per feed as on 6oz bottles however the last 2/3 weeks I’ve gone from 5x6oz bottles to 5 bottle but only around 3.5/4.5oz each feed at the most. She’s mostly happy, I’ve noticed a lot of dribbling plenty of wet nappies 2/3 poops a day and they in the last week have turned to just liquid, but she doesn’t seem bothered I’m just worrying that she’s not getting enough milk for her age she was born 37 week lbw but has been on 25th centile since 6 weeks and following her line on there is this teething? Or is she just having a fussy stage she just have moments where she seems in pain and will cry for a while but can be soothed and then is back to her happy self.

Nutramigen isn't dairy free, the dairy protein is just broken down. Its common to see an improvement when starting it first but as time goes on if the baby has severe cmpa then symptoms can return. If baby is having runny poos then I'd go back to your Dr and ask for a completely dairy free amino acid based formula. Some cmpa babies can start to refuse feeds as they associate it with pain.

@romdowa i didn’t even think about this, we have been fine for about 8/10 weeks and I’ve started noticing symptoms we had before the painful wind and loud tummy is back too. Thank you for this I’ll call the gp tomorrow to have a chat about this. She will have the first few ounces then it becomes a fight.
