Leg rash on three year old girl

My DD has started developing a pretty nasty rash and so far I'm at a loss as to what it could be.

It only appears on her legs but has been developing over the last few weeks and is appearing as red blotches. She's fine in herself and says it doesn't hurt and isn't itchy.

She has worn leggings pretty much every day of her life and we've always washed them in a mixture of persil colour and whatever version of comfort has smelled the nicest when we're at the supermarket.

We've tried swapping her pyjamas for shorts in order to air her legs, figuring it might be some kind of heat rash, as well as putting moisturising cream on every night, but nothing seems to be shifting it.

Does anyone have any ideas or encountered anything similar please?

Can you upload a photo of a patch of the skin OP?

Also clarification - apparently we switch between comfort and lenor based on the scent!

Looks like eczema

Cuppasoupmonster · 20/11/2022 19:29

Yes looks like eczema to me as well. It looks scaly and inflamed rather than a viral thing.

Justwingingitox · 20/11/2022 21:26

Also looks like eczema to me too.

As someone who has exzema, I definitely agree it looks exactly like exzema.

Apologies for incorrect spelling 🙈

This looks like my daughters eczema when we use anything other than fairy.
We’ve switched back to fairy and I popped some lanolin nipple cream on her eczema patch and it cleared up quickly.
