Mass on brain 4 month old baby

I don't even know where to start but I took my daughter (4 months) to the GP as she's done this flickering eye roll ever since she was born and they thought it was linked to reflux as did we but they referred us to a paediatrician just to be sure. They did an mri and eeg which showed seizures but found out yesterday that she has a 2cm mass on her brain. I am absolutely devastated and don't know where to go from here. They haven't given an indication as to what they think it is and we are just waiting to hear from them. All I'm thinking is the worst and I can't stop crying. I've been thinking about how I'm going to kill my self when my daughter dies. I feel hopeless and that I don't have the strength to do this. She is my only child and I tried for over 3 years to have her with miscarriages in between. They thought she was missing her cavum during pregnancy so that was traumatic too. I don't know what to do, I can't believe this is happening to us.

I’m here right now in the Weston.

They should provide one night accommodation minimum.

Thanks for the update, @eastview . Have been thinking of you and the little smiler. Hope you are OK and that the easter bunny is generous. FlowersDaffodil

I've been wondering how you are doing.

Is this a routine review? Think of it as a good thing. She won't remember the poking, and it will be a grand adventure for her. (Not so much for you, I realize.)

How is she enjoying her first springtime? The scents, the bird calls, the flowers.
I bet you have more adorable clothing for her.

Thank you everyone. Yes we knew it was coming as we need to find out where the epilepsy is coming from and to find out if they can do anything surgically. A little less scary than past visits but definitely overwhelming. She's doing well in herself but seizures aren't under control still although she is on medication. I really hope we get answers soon but it's so scary. Some recent pics of my girl 🥰 happy Easter everyone ❤️❤️

She has an inner light that just shines through! Beautiful little girl.

Thank you for the update, and I wish her all the very best at GOSH. She'll be in the very safest of hands.

Hopefully they'll have some answers for you, as I can only imagine what a rollercoaster of emotions you experience daily.

Enjoy Easter together, and go gently on yourself.
You're a lovely Mum x

Hi OP. Your little girl is beautiful. Goodluck with your appointment in May at GOSH. You are in the best hands as I know first hand with my son.
We go every six months due to my DS having Cystic kidney disease. They monitor the growths to make sure they don't grow large enough to take over the function of his kidneys. So far so good and no change in 5 years. At first I was terrified and thought the worse but over the years I know he is being looked after and will be monitored for life.
It is scary and frightening but if anything your little girl will be cared for.
We live a couple of hours away so travel by train. So far we haven't had to stay.
Goodluck with the appointment and please let us know how things are going. Will be thinking of you. X

I’m a grumpy old cynical who often is babies, meh! But damn she’s cute, especially the roaring bunny, she’s gonna be a force to be reckoned with when she’s older, which is great as well def need more like that in the years to come! 😍

OldFan · 07/04/2023 00:19

She looks well in those pics OP. You could make a calendar for yourself for next year at this rate with the lovely pics. :) I look forward to them making her do even better. x

slowquickstep · 07/04/2023 00:36

Oh op! I'm so happy to see how well little Delilah is doing, she is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen! Wishing you all a happy Easter 🐣

Lingles · 07/04/2023 09:06

Yeah it’s mumsnet’s favourite baby :)

spiderlight · 10/04/2023 16:22

Those Easter photos are adorable!!

BlackSwan · 10/04/2023 19:57

She's so beautiful - loves the camera & dressing up it seems!
We take our son to GOSH but we live close. When he has had to stay overnight I have slept in the hospital next to him (one parent can stay). If that's what you do I recommend taking an eye mask & ear plugs so you get some rest! Best of luck for the tests next month. x
