Hi

my daughter has had a fever since yesterday, it’s over 38 and doesn’t go below that with paracetamol and ibuprofen.

shes snotty and has a cough but she did have covid 10 days ago so that’s kind of lingered from that.

tonight she’s come up with this rash all over her. I’ve done the glass test and it seems to disappear.

Should I be looking at an out of hours GP? My first thoughts were viral rash.

I agree it looks like a viral rash but she’s obviously young. I wound never take chances with a child this age, I’d see a GP

Also the fact you can’t get her temp down means she should be seen

Montague22 · 27/10/2022 19:22

I think the rash probably is viral. It’s possible that the virus has led to a bacterial chest infection though. The cough and temp not going down would make me wonder. I’d phone 111.

Get her checked over especially since her temperature isn’t coming down sufficiently

Sorry realised I didn’t say how old she is, she’s 2

@Shf1234 hand foot and mouth? My LO started with it, raging temp for a day or two and then spots on upper chest / back. Oddly hand & feet spots showed a few days later. Rife where I am!
