12m old lump on lower gum and gum flap

Please help! I have been trying to register my 12 month old daughter with a dentist for months to no avail 🤦🏻‍♀️ A couple of weeks ago she developed a very large lump on her lower gum and today I noticed a flap of gum on her upper left side towards the back? I’m so worried there’s some sort of infection, she seems ok apart from normal teething symptoms (I can see other teeth coming in apart from this) she doesn’t wince when it’s touched. What could it be? Would it be better to try out of hours urgent dental care? Would a gp look at it? X

You can call any dentist and ask for an emergency - say you have a young child, possible gum abscess, and you haven’t been able register with a dentist. They usually prioritise emergency appointments for their own patients but they can add her name to their list temporarily if they have a slot free. Otherwise pop to a pharmacy / GP (although they may say just to go to a dentist as usually most things to do with the mouth need reviewing by a dentist).
