Is it just badly bruised or a trip to a&e

My 9 year old was play his vr and hit his drawers now the tip of his finger is purple and I mean dark purple and really swollen and help appreciated

No I wouldn’t go to a ande. What would you expect them to do?

@FLOWER1982 it's at the point he can't bend it it's that swollen and looks like it's going to burst. So if your going to be judgemental over me asking that question then please don't the last place I want to be is a&e as just 2 weeks ago I went with my nana and came home alone as she passed sitting in the waiting room

Do you have a minor injuries unit near you? I’d probably try there in the morning if it hasn’t gone down, rather than A&E, personally - and hopefully the waiting time would be less.

Have you tried reducing the swelling?

I would try and get your sons swelling down and try gp/minor injuries in the morning if its not subsided. If it gets very painful for him as in painful to even touch, ring the non emergency line.
