Which moisturiser and bath soap for baby dry flaky skin (not red)?

Hello mamas!

I would like your advice please.
My baby is currently 3 months and has been having dry skin on her feet and legs almost since birth. I am using Child's Farm shower gel and moisturiser but the skin on her legs and feet is always flaky and dry. I've even noticed now on other parts of her body rough and dry skin. Contacted GP and she suggested to use Aveeno baby (nothing specific though)
I was thinking of switching to mustela as I heard some good reviews but not much on Aveeno baby and Aveeno baby dermexa. There is also Pipette on social media. I don't know what to go for..

Any suggestions please?

Is there a specific reason you need to use soap/shower gel? If not I'd ditch it and go for water only.

You could use oilatum bath in the water and no soap and then use oilatum cream straight out the bath and a couple of applications through the day . My children had eczema and this helps alot with dry skin

Thank you so much for your answers!
I just wanted to use soap as I only give her bath once or twice a week. Otherwise maybe soap can make her skin more dry (not sure). Is Oilatum ok to use for babies?

For my baby (now 6 months old but done the same since birth) I use water only for baths with a tiny bit of child’s farm newborn shampoo on hair.
For dry skin I rub in some rape seed oil after the bath. Works wonders and was recommended by a health visitor.

I use aveeno baby on my 4 year old as she gets dry skin in winter so I put some in after each bath. I occasionally pop a bit on baby’s face too if it looks dry.

I don’t tend to use soap on either of them.

Thank you so much everyone :)
I will use the water only from now on for bath!
Also thank you for the moisturisers recommendations.

I use tropic cleansing milk added to my DS's bath water, the nappy cream and massage oil are also brilliant and no nasties.
