I shut DDs foot in car door - should I take her to A&E?

As I was shutting the car door, DD aged 3,
put her foot in the door and I didn't notice. She is still rear facing and I guess this is a downside of that I never thought about.

She cried and said her foot really hurt. Took her home, iced and elevated it for an hour. It looks fine now, can't see anything abnormal and she says it doesn't hurt...DH thinks we don't need to do anything more, but I'm not so sure - should I take her to minor injury unit?

Is she walking normally in it?

If it looks normal and doesn't hurt why on earth would you need to go and take her to minor injuries?

If she can walk on it, it looks fine and she's not constantly complaining then all it needs is observation at home.

It happens to almost all children, if it's not their foot it will be their hand and unless any of the above applies then save yourself hours of waiting to just be sent home with instructions to keep an eye on it.
