Glue ear, hearing loss, snotty, clingy 2 year old

My son 2 years 5 months old. He had his adenoids removed 11 months ago due to severe sleep apnea and major congestion and constant runny nose.

The congestion has never gone away, the snotty nose did for a few weeks but is back again.

He doesn't stop breathing at night any more but snores, gasps and tosses and turns so not sure if he is having a restless sleep.

He was diagnosed with glue ear and moderate hearing loss this week. He is so clingy to me, he tells his daddy to go away, and anyone else if I am there. On the days I work he goes with his grandparents and he is happy enough with them.

So my question is ... Has anyone had a child with a constant runny nose? I'm not talking a bit of snot I'm talking a stream coming from either 1 or both nostrils all day! If so what was the cause ENT don't know and it's being investigated.

And 2nd question - kids with glue ear... Has yours been super clingy?

My little one has this as well as glue ear, enlarged adenoids and enlarged tonsils. We were also told he has enlarged nasal turbinates - which explained his constant runny nose and sleep apnoea. Constant colds and allergies can cause them to be enlarged and produce lots of mucus and sometimes bleed.

Thank you for your reply, my little one had his adenoids out a year ago. Sleep apnea is very much back now! How are they treating your little one?
