My 15 year old had it done (for medical reasons before anyone piles on me) and I'm worried. It's bleeding (no dressing was put on) and oozing through gauze over about 2 hours. He'd been putting gauze on after peeing as he said peeing made it bleed but had then peeled it off (I think starting up the bleed again )
I'm planning to call urgent care in the morning as he's asleep now but he's utterly miserable and I feel awful he's had it done. It was needed but still. To see him so uncomfortable is horrid.
Has anyone experienced it with an older child and knows if this bleeding is ok/ will ease off? He wouldn't show me at first but then asked me to look so I know he's worried. 😭

Doesn't sound like he has had good after care post surgery. How is he doing now Op?

DS 7 had Testicle surgery last year not the same I know but it's so hard to dress they left him with a support to wear but the stitches and wound was pretty open. Once or twice when he went for a wee it would bleed. We spoke to the GP who then saw him but said it was okay and healing. It's terrible when your son is that age of puberty and not wanting to show you but hopefully he is not embarrassed xxx
