Baby scratched & scarred face

My baby scratched herself at 4 weeks old and it's scarred, I'm beyond devastated, never did I think this would be possible. It's right under her eye so quite visible to me, others say it's not.
You hear about babies scratching themselves all the time and none scar, none that I've heard of anyway. I blame myself as I left a sharp bit on her nail and she did it when she was put down.
Please tell me someone has experienced similar and the scar has eventually faded?
We are 6 weeks later now and it looks like this, not sure how I'm supposed to accept I've done this to her face 😭😭😭 it kills me every time I see it. I know there's worst things to happen but this is how I feel.

@firsttimemama1994 thank you for your updates, it gives me hope. My LO got scratched on her cheek by another little boy when she was 9 months. It's been 2 months since it happened and it's still there, indented and red about 1 cm long. I hate myself for it so much! Every time I look at that scratch I get angry (not at my daughter obviously). Like you, I religiously used breastmilk to begin with because it helped with every other scratch she had and they used to heal within 5 days but not this one. After few weeks I realised it is a scar. I use La roche posay cicaplast cream everyday now at least three times a day and really hope that her skin cells will regenerate and it will completely heal soon.

My baby has this long scratch on her face, and now it leaves a scar, it has been three months and I don’t see much improvement. I have been using silicone, mederma and vitamin e oil on. The first thing i see in the morning is her scar, please tell me if it will heal in a year time.
