4 year old fever, no other symptoms

Since Friday my 4 year old has had a high temp, been giving him paracetamol every 4 hours and it does bring it down then as soon as he’s ready for next dose he’s boiling hot again.
he’s whingy, irritable, napping (something he hasn’t done since he was 2). He not been outside much this weekend, kept him in in the shade with plenty of fluid….anyone had similar? Could it be heat stroke? Or a bug, even tho no cough etc?

I’d assume he’s got Covid tbh.

I thought mine had a bug and clicked on day 3 to do a covid test which came back positive as it was exactly what you described. He had high temp for 5 days. I called my gp for advice and told me to give him ibuprofen after a calpol dose which really helped. Maybe ask for some advice if you can get hold of your doctor but also do a covid test as every person I know either has covid right now or had it in the last 2 weeks as it's rife right now.
