So the Tuesday before last (the 5th July), my DS (8) complained of a tummy ache and then on Wednesday night he vomited. Did a covid test on Thursday morning and he was positive. He then continued to have cramps and vomited once a day (even though he hardly ate) on Friday, Sat, Sun, Monday (early in the morning). Then he seemed fine on Tuesday (and had a neg LFT) and so he went back to school on Wed. He then vomited again when he got home from school that day. Then he seemed fine Thursday and Friday - I thought he was turning a corner as he wanted to eat and ate normally all day with no problem.
woke up this morning and he was fine - ate breakfast and was his usual self. Then after lunch, he started saying his stomach hurt and he was sick again! I am so worried.
To add to this, my DD (4) has also started having stomach cramps (for the last 4 days) - also tested positive but seriously I have had no sleep as all she does is cry all night with stomach cramps. She hasn’t vomited thank goodness. I know this is covid but I’ve never seen my kids in this much discomfort. My son has been dealing with it for 11 days now…
Does anyone have any experience of this? I spoke to the gp but they weren’t too helpful 😩
