Hi, has anybody had any experiences with the following. I feel at such a lost to help my girl.

4 year old F, since 6 months old constant vomiting, illness, dark circles round eyes, temperature spikes, pale looking. From 3 (when she could tell us) she’s been having headaches on top of this and ear pain. Her temperature spikes go to 42degrees, no seizures with it. Her headaches floor her and she can’t bare to stand or sit up. She vomits often and can be sick at night and not wake up at all (full on lumpy sick too) sorry! She always looks Ill too. She’s small aswell, all her friends are much taller.

She’s been under consultants since 1 year old but always told she’ll grow out of it and she hasn’t. she had an MRI scan which showed fluid behind her eyes and nose and we are awaiting an ENT referal, but taking months.

has anybody had any experience with anything similar? We are so worried but also feel like we are going round in circles and forever waiting.

thanks in advance x

This sounds awful for her, poor little girl. I’d take her back to her doctor and ask for her to be referred to a paediatric specialist. The vomiting at night I her sleep is worrying, he could choke on it.

Did GP test for coeliac disease?

No, I think I will ask them to rule it out.

she’s had blood tests and allergy tests of all kinds with nothing really showing x

Did they say that the swelling/fluid is likely to be the cause?

If not have a look at something called periodic fever syndrome.

My friends ds had this diagnosed after years of unexplained sudden fevers and illnesses. He was also very small for his age.

We are awaiting to see the ENT specialist for further explanation to the fluid but guessing it’s linked to her sinuses.

I have never heard of that, will Google straight away. Thank you ❤️

Only speaking from personal experience - but it would look to rule out cortisol deficiency.
