Raised bumps all over my sons arms and legs

Hi, my sons 8 months old and my son has this rash on his arms and legs, it’s really bumpy and red. He’s fine in himself and I’m thinking maybe it’s an allergy to something but just wanted to know if anyone has seen anything similar?

Looks a bit like mozzie bites.

Have you got a pet? Flea bites?

hashbrownsandwich · 03/07/2022 16:53

This look allergic. I would suggest antihistamine. I would also do the glass roll test just to be on the safe side.

That looks more like bites than hives.

ExPatHereForAChat · 03/07/2022 17:02

Any new foods in the couple of hours before they appeared?

dementedpixie · 03/07/2022 17:02

Look like bites to me too

Look like bites to me.
Maybe mark the limit of the redness so you can see if it spreads.
Try antihistamine.

Thanks all 😊 so I went to my GP and they seem to think it’s bites too but not sure what, I’ve got some Piriton prescribed but i just can’t work out what it could be? The only thing I can think of is bed bugs but I’ve had a good look and can’t see any, plus it’s only him having the bites and not me and or my partner. Last night he woke up at 4am very upset and unsettled and unnoticed he had more bites in his back., so confusing!

Fleas?

That’s what the bites look most like from what I’ve seen on Google but we’ve got no pets, very strange

We have had mice in our attic though which I’ve caught and released

Ok so I woke up this morning to see a mouse on our bedroom floor and all droppings behind our cabinets…so I’m now thinking it is fleas from this bloody mouse! 😩

You can pick a flea infestation up from anywhere. Visiting a house with them and they go travelling back on you. I got one from a bag of donated kids clothes.

You'll need to treat the mouse plague and the fleas. It's good you don't have any animals. You can flea bomb the house. Then spray around the edges of each room with indorex. Don't breath any of that shit in.

Personally with a double infestation, I'd get a dude in.
