Hi,
My 12 month old has just gotten over chicken pox (started with them around 11 days ago, been scabbed over for 4 days). However on Friday and Saturday she had a high temp all day which only came down with Calpol.
The last three days she has been absolutely fine in the morning (playing, smiling etc), then once she's had an afternoon nap seems to spike a fever of over 39 again which lasts into the evening. She becomes very upset with it too.
NHS website is telling me to see a doctor if a child has a fever for 5+ days, but she doesn't have it all the time and is eating/drinking. Could it just be that she's still fighting the virus even thought he spots have all long scabbed over?
