Hand foot and mouth - anyone else atm?

My 3 year old ds and 11 month old dd both have hand, foot and mouth at the moment. It's going round my 3 year old's nursery. He's starting to improve but now dd has it and she's been awful. I think the mouth/throat sores have been the worst part for both of them. So we're on a round of ibroprofen, calpol, cold drinks, ice lollies, etc.
Ds also has tonsillitis with his h, f & m (according to gp) so he's on antibiotics.

Plus, the heat makes them more irritable.

Anyone else going through this with their children atm?

Hey, pretty sure I'm just coming down with it. I'm a 40 year old mum. My three year old daughter hasn't had it to my knowledge and I don't know anyone else who has it though bizarrely.
Symptoms started with chills and a sore throat 2 days ago and now I've got a really sore mouth, painful to eat. Prickly rash on hands, a couple of sore blisters on feet. Fingernail beds feel sore and tender. Scabby spots in my scalp. It's really charming. Ibruprofen and paracetamol calm it down and 4 hours later symptoms flare back up

@sweetnoodle that does sound like hand foot and mouth. I believe that some people can have it but can be asymptomatic or have in extremely mildly. So maybe your daughter had it without you knowing.

My two have just recovered from it but it's a horrible virus.

Hope you feel better soon x

Don't have it at the moment but my god it was awful. DD had it, she was very ill.

I had it too.. Terrible. Mouth ulcers, super itchy hands, nails dropped off a few weeks later!
