My 6 year old has been ill for what feels like the longest time.
It started with her complaining of ear ache followed by a lack of energy, falling asleep. The ear ache went on for a week before she developed a fever/temperature. This was followed by neck ache and head ache and loss of hearing.
I took her to the doctors who gave me drops for her ear, to get rid of a wax build up, there was no infection. He said that it was just a virus. A week and a half later and she is still unwell, although her hearing is back. She has had a fever/temperature for at least 11 days now. It comes and go's. Daytime she seems to be fine until late afternoon/evening.
Just when I think she's getting better the fever and neck ache return.
She had a blood test today.
Anyone have any ideas of what this could be. I must add that no-one else in the household has caught this supposed virus.
I'm going to take her back to the doctors tomorrow... if i can get an appointment.
I'm so worried.
