Teenager and frequent urination

In the past year, my son has been going to the toilet more often than usual, sometimes every 30 minutes. Other days he just goes 4-5 times in the whole day. Doctors checked his urine and blood and everything seems to be normal so we stopped worrying long ago.
In the past 2 weeks this has been happening almost every day, he feels fine, happy, eats well, etc... but since he arrives from school until he goes to bed, he uses the toilet at least once every hour.
A colleague of mine says that at this age hormones can make teenagers' bladders more active and that it's normal so I wonder if this also happened to some of your kids too. I remember I had the same problem when I was 15 and then it just disappeared...

For my DS it's a combination of not drinking much at school and not much opportunity to go to the toilet, coming home and drinking loads of squash then needing to go. If the GP is happy and he's feeling well in himself I really wouldn't worry too much.

This makes a lot of sense, he drinks like a camel when he comes home!

His blood tests are perfect, levels of glucose are fine.

My DS does this. He can go all day without a wee (this in itself is weird imo) because the school toilets are apparently too minging. Then spends the afternoon in and out of the loo, and apparently can't hang on (often when asked to set the table/ is bored of waiting for others to finish eating/ etc...funny that).

Same! Especially when we have visits and he doesn’t want to talk to them.

I'm similar with toilet usage, but then usually around every 40 mins I have a cuppa tea when I'm in
