Sustained ankle clonus in 6 week old baby

I'm so worried about my 6 week old having discovered she has jittery legs every now and then and sustained ankle clonus lasting up to 12 beats. Every Internet resource points to cerebal palsy or ms. Even the ones that appear trust worthy. I've had some reassurances but would like to hear frol parents who have seen this in their baby and what outcomes it lead to and what support was offered if they live in UK. Many thanks from a very stressed mum

@Olahaha2021 hello, I'm sorry you are worrying about this. I've never noticed anything like this in my kids and I have 3. However my eldest daughter was born with talipes(feet going inwards) but with some physio it's has straightened her foot out a little although she does walk inwards slightly.. defo speak with health visitor on 6 week review. I would like to hear how you get on x

Thanks @jadey1991 . Delighted to her you received support and improvement for your little one❤️... Yes the anxiety is unreal!!! It's the waiting and unknowing that is the worst 😢. I wish i could just switch off and enjoy my wee baby in the moment but the seed has been planted for me now. I have GP on Thursday.

@jadey1991 paed consultant reviewed my baby today and has no reason to believe my baby has cp. All reflexes tested and muscle tone etc. The clonus even tho can last 12 beats is down to being premie and will disappear. She could not make it happen and even when i showed her tma video said she was not worried. Think it's something to with? Melanin and isn't fully formed with premies etc. Best reassurance i can have for now. Sent home and told to enjoy my mat leave
