Is this baby acne and eczema

My baby has developed a rash on her face in the last few days which the doctor has diagnosed as baby acne and eczema. However today it seems a little worse and I just wanted to check if people think this does look like baby acne and eczema or if it could be something else? Thanks

That looks so sore, looks a bit like heat rash, maybe ask a pharmacist if your unsure of doctors diagnosis.
I would use a sensitive moisturiser and make sure bedding is washed is sure care or something similar

Certainly could be acne/ eczema. How old is she? However my little boy had a similar rash, more angry looking though, but it came on more gradually when he was about 2 weeks. HV and GP both suggested it could be cows milk protein allergy. I've cut dairy, but newborn acne tends to clear up around 6 weeks anyway so don't know for sure whether it was acne or allergy, and won't until I try and reintroduce dairy. Does your little one have digestive symptoms too?

Have you tried E45 cream? My GP told me to use it 2 or 3 times a day on my little one when her skin was like this and it does seem to have helped. Does she scratch at her face? My daughter does in the night and when hers was bad it did irritate it so I had to put her scratch mits back on for a few nights.

Thanks so much all. She's 9 weeks. And no she isn't scratching. She is definitely quite irritable with what seems like wind though. It looks so sore and inflamed. I'm wondering if I need to cut out dairy perhaps.

@clairebear610 wondering how this turned out for you? My daughter has a very similar rash that appeared about a week ago (she’s weeks). She is breastfed and also is extremely gassy and at times seems really uncomfortable passing gas’s/pooing.

we have a gp appointment on Monday but I’m really wondering if I need to cut out dairy
