Red, sore skin in baby's fat rolls

I've just noticed DD has a patch of sore, red skin in the fat rolls on her neck. It looks like nappy rash. Is it worth putting some metanium on to see if that helps, or is it a doctor trip?

I'd try cream like that or thin layer of sudocreme for a few days (washing and carefully drying daily) and if no improvement then GP in case it's thrush.

It’ll be milk/dribble getting caught. Make sure it’s kept clean and dry to stop it happening again , thin layrr of sudocrem until it’s better

Yep, make sure it's clean and dry and use a thin layer of sudocrem or whatever. It's tempting to use a thick layer of cream but a thin layer actually works best for some reason!

Make sure it's always dry in there. Lift folds and dry with something absorbent several times per day. Some sudocrem should fix it, must be on dry skin though.

DS was such a skinny baby, this is a new experience for me - a baby with actual fat rolls!

If you have a tube of Canesten cream and put that in there. I My baby got this in his neck folds when he was very small and it was thrush. The Canesten won't do any harm if it isn't thrush either.

DC1 got this a lot, dribbled milk everywhere!

I agree with seaweed it could be thrush. My son has this when he was a baby, just in the lines of his neck where the milk dribbled to.

How old is baby? Bathe every day or top and tail every day at least. Use baby aveno wash, not normal baby bath soap as it dries skin, and aveno cream.
