I just want to start of saying that I have made an appointment to see my GP about this but I was was wondering if anyone had been through this with their child.
My 9yr old has been complaining about a sharp pain around her belly button for a couple of months now. It comes and goes, for example she could be fine for a week or 2 but then she's in pain again.
I brought her to a & e about a month ago as she was sobbing with the pain, I thought it might have been appendicitis. They checked her over confirmed it wasn't appendicitis and said it may be a viral infection. Sent home with advise to give calpol for the pain. A couple of days later she was fine.
As I said this pain keeps coming and going and she has been sent home from school several times because of it. I dont know if she's faking it or if there really is something wrong.
Anyone been through this? Any insight or advise?
