Almost 3 year old hasn't stopped coughing all day

Has anyone had this recently? My 2 year old (will be 3 next month) hasn't stopped coughing all day. He's been running around as normal and has no temperature but just won't stop coughing. I've given him cough medicine and put the calpol plug in in his room but it's not doing much. Has anyone had this recently with their lo?

Not with my children but I work in a healthcare based role.

We would advise a PCR due to the coughing and also a call perhaps to 111 incase it's a chest infection.

I hope DC is feeling better soon

Same as my older child who had a positive LFT a few days ago. It’s starting to ease now thankfully - they’re shattered from disturbed sleep.
