Omeprazole - has anyone successfully started weaning baby off at 12 weeks

My baby boy has been getting omeprazole since about 4 weeks old. I think he seems to be having side effects from the omeprazole & isn't displaying many silent reflux symptoms now.

I realise successful treatment by omeprazole means of course he'll seem better, but what I mean is, he's not having wet burbs or hiccups very often. He's also actually spitting up a bit now which he never did before, it used to just reach his throat & go back down.

I'm just curious if anyone else stopped it this young? He's just over 12 weeks. Everything I see online seems to suggest people wait until after weaning onto solids.

TIA!
