My 4yr old granddaughter developed an itchy rash last week with a very sore throat etc.
Doctor( or nurse?) examined her & told her dad that he thought it was possibly Scarlet Fever, put her on 10 day course of antibiotics and then took a swab.Anyway, my daughter rang up about the swab test today and the receptionist told her that Scarlet-Fever hadn't shown up on the test!
She's about a week in and is still itchy, her face is still rough and red looking, her lips are very dry and although she's been well in herself ( touchwood!), she was very shivery today and tired. Is there anything else that anyone thinks this might be? She's hopefully being seen again tomorrow but we don't know whether that'll be by a doctor/nurse.
